Mani Monday – Nail Hoot Indie Lacquers Crime of Passion

May 31, 2021

At least once a week, I am blessed to receive some sort of free product in the mail in exchange for my review. Normally, I am notified that something is coming, so I am excited when it comes, just not surprised. However, when I opened this package from @nailhoot (a brand I hadn’t tried, but was on my wish list!), it was completely unexpected, so my joy was through the roof! The owner, Brandie Collins, sent me three (3) nail polishes and I’m showing you the second of those today!

What’s on my nails:
๐Ÿ”˜ Base coat: @orly Bonder ($10 for .6 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+3t6OwJXzbGHAWfjaQUD9PA)
๐Ÿ”˜ Color: @nailhoot Crime of Passion ($7.80 for .51 ounces – https://nailhoot.com/products/crime-of-passion-easter-indie-polish)
โšซ๏ธ Described as “โ€ฆa pale petal pink creme polish that echoes the soft blush of spring blossoms. The luscious base is woven together with speckles of black glitter”
๐Ÿ”˜ Top coat: @sechenails Dry Fast Top Coat ($9.95 for .5 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+Y7jlC6HjE5pwYD4G_tYzJw)

My verdict?
I am so in love with the base color of this polish! Then, to add in black glitter?! So unique and beautiful, in my opinion! The coverage is excellent – giving full opacity in two (2) fairly thin coats. I also didn’t have to do much manipulating to get the glitters to scatter evenly throughout the manicure. I first applied it on Saturday and then did six (6) hours of weeding in our yard on Sunday and only experienced a single chip! I’ll be touching it up today, but am very optimistic about the longevity of this polish. Overall, absolutely recommend if shades like this are something you’re drawn to!

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via some of the links listed above. There is no additional cost to you, but it supports me and my blog and I greatly appreciate it!
