Skincare Saturday – @peachandlily Wild Dew Treatment Essence

August 15, 2020

As a newfound lover of essence, as I neared the end of the one I had first introduced to my routine, I looked forward to shopping for a replacement. My research brought me to @ultabeauty and I settled on the @peachandlily Wild Dew Treatment Essence ($39 for 3.38 ounces – https://rstyle.me/+dnC0SA6bqKBtEhXY2k3IeA) after reading its numerous glowing reviews!

What it claims:

๐Ÿ”˜ Both potent and hydrating, essences not only help fight breakouts, improve skinโ€™s radiance and impart long-lasting hydration, but they are also formulated to sink deep and fast into skin

๐Ÿ”˜ Using next-gen technology, Peach & Lilyโ€™s nod to the Korean beauty staple includes clean, fast-acting extracts that will leave you looking and feeling fresh as a daisy

๐Ÿ”˜ Comprised of antioxidant-rich lotus extract, brightening niacinamide, age-defying yeast ferment, firming adenosine, protective bamboo extract and nourishing radish leaf extract, this will restore your skin to dewy goodness, and protect against stresses of modern life

My experience:

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป The packaging is beautiful!

๐Ÿ”˜ I use this after toner and eye cream, but before serum. If I’m doing that incorrectly, someone with more skincare expertise, please correct me!

๐Ÿ”˜ Even though all essences I’ve tried have had a water-like consistency, this one felt the thinnest.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Since toner can sometimes feel like it dries my skin out, this step is great for adding instant moisture and really feels as though it helps keep my skin optimally hydrated for longer.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I have noticed that my skin looks brighter and feels smoother after using this several days in a row.

My verdict?

The over 100 5-star reviews were right, this product is great! I haven’t been using it for long enough to potentially experience all of the claims, but things are looking good so far. There is an essence I like better as of now, but it’s slightly more expensive per ounce than this product, so I’m hoping this pulls ahead with prolonged use!
