Thursday Thoughts – @PIXIBeauty Retinol Jasmine Lotion

June 18, 2020

As you may have seen, nearly a month ago, @pixibeauty sent me their beautiful (I’m biased because purple is my favorite color) Retinol & Jasmine Collection! Today, I am reviewing the Retinol Jasmine Lotion ($24.49 for 1.7 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bi1ab)!

What it claims:

πŸ”˜ Lightweight yet deeply moisturizing, this antioxidant-rich milky-lotion is the perfect daily moisturizer for a youth enhancing effect

πŸ”˜ Formulated with vitamin A, jasmine oil and peptides to renew, smooth and deeply nourish

πŸ”˜ Antioxidant-rich blackberry, moisturize locking ceramide and nourishing biotin helps to ensure healthier-looking skin long term

πŸ”˜ Retinol smoothes & refines

πŸ”˜ Peptides firm & revitalize

πŸ”˜ Jasmine oil nourishes & brightens

πŸ”˜ Not tested on animals

My experience:

πŸ”˜ When I searched for this product, I was confused by the fact that Target labeled it as an overnight cream, yet I was unable to find that language on the Pixi Beauty website or product packaging. Since I trust the brand to be more detailed in their information, I assume this can be used day or night and have tried both.

πŸ‘πŸ» There is a very light, calming scent.

πŸ‘πŸ» I really enjoy the texture. It’s creamy, but not overly thick. Perfect for a summertime moisturizer.

πŸ‘πŸ» My skin feels hydrated all day (or all night) when I use it.

My verdict?

I have been using this for a couple of weeks and am looking forward to continuing to use it to see if I experience any of the benefits they mention that I know are more long than short-term oriented. However, the short-term benefits have also been nice. From the moisturization, to the feeling on my skin, to the scent, it has been a pleasure testing this so far! The price is a little steep for the drugstore, but still very fair in the grand scheme of skincare – especially considering the ingredients.

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the link listed above. There is no additional cost to you.
