Thursday Thoughts – @Tower28Beauty ShineOn Lip Jelly

May 7, 2020

I was so excited to get the @tower28beauty ShineOn Lip Jelly ($14 for .13 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bg3X6) in my giveaway win from @carrie because it’s a brand I’ve never tried and the reviews are excellent!

What it claims:

πŸ”˜ This lip jelly, which has the shine of a gloss, the comfort of a balm, and a touch of juicy translucent color, uses a unique blend of five nurturing oils to soothe and protect lips from drying and peeling

πŸ”˜ Non-sticky

πŸ”˜ Apricot Kernel Oil: Nurtures and soothes lips

πŸ”˜ Raspberry Seed Oil: Protects lips against damage from free radicals and environmental aggressors

πŸ”˜ Rosehip Oil: Contains vitamins A and E while promoting cell repair and regeneration

My experience:

πŸ”˜ I received the “shade” Chill, which is clear.

πŸ”˜ I’m wearing it on top of a nude lipstick in the photo.

πŸ‘πŸ» The packaging is beautiful.

πŸ‘πŸ» It’s on the more affordable side, especially for a brand found at @sephora.

πŸ‘πŸ» It’s very comfortable. I agree that it feels like a combination of a gloss and a balm.

πŸ‘πŸ» It provides a significant amount of shine.

πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ» Some of the reviews state that it lasted longer than other glosses on them, but I haven’t noticed that. I reapply just as much as any other gloss.

My verdict?

While I like several things about this gloss, I don’t understand the hype. There’s a chance that the tinted ones are more impressive, but when it comes to Chill, in my opinion, it’s just a standard, comfortable, shiny, clear gloss. If you buy it, you won’t be disappointed, but if you don’t, you won’t be missing out on anything.

Have you tried anything from @tower28beauty? If so, what was it and what are your thoughts?

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the link listed above. There is no additional cost to you.
