Setting Spray Saturday – @MorpheBrushes Mattifying Continuous Setting Mist

March 21, 2020

As someone with oily skin (worse in the summer, but still more than just a healthy glow in the winter), I am constantly looking for ways to keep my makeup looking as fresh as it does when I first apply it. So, when I heard @morphebrushes was coming out with a mattifying version of their very popular (and one I thoroughly enjoy) Continuous Setting Mist ($16 for 2.8 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/beXCT), I couldn’t wait to try it! Today, I am reviewing the @morphebrushes Mattifying Continuous Setting Mist ($16 for 2.8 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/beXCX)!

What it claims:

πŸ”˜ Controls oil and shine

πŸ”˜ A continuous, air-powered spray delivers even and controlled application with a refreshing scent

πŸ”˜ Ultra-fine, translucent powder works on all skin tones

πŸ”˜ Prevents makeup from melting

My experience:

πŸ‘πŸ» I really like the look of the packaging. It’s simple and sleek.

πŸ‘πŸ» The scent is light and enjoyable.

πŸ‘πŸ» A lot of reviews on the @ultabeauty website claim that it leaves a white cast. I have never experienced that and I think it’s because I always make sure to shake the can thoroughly before use.

πŸ‘πŸ» It’s a weird feeling because you’ll spray an abundance of the product on your face, but you won’t see any of it because it dries instantly.

πŸ‘πŸ» I have been using this to set my makeup for the last couple of weeks and it has kept me almost completely matte all day long, without looking dry.

My verdict?

I am really impressed with this setting spray! Not only does it do what it says it’s going to, but it does so at a very palatable price tag! I will absolutely be repurchasing this in the future.

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the links listed above. There is no additional cost to you.
