Try Out Tuesday – @PIXIBeauty x @frmheadtotoe Glow-y Powder in Wednesdays

January 14, 2020

Thank you so much to @pixibeauty for sending me their Glow-y Powder Highlighter in collaboration with @frmheadtotoe in the shade Wednesdays ($15.99 for .32 ounces – https://shopstyle.it/l/bcFda) to test out!

What it claims:

πŸ”˜ This multi-dimensional highlighter has prismatic particles that give the most GORGEOUS, radiant glow

πŸ”˜ This silky soft radiance powder adds a touch of glow & sheer soft colour for perfectly highlighted features

πŸ”˜ Natural mineral powder reflects light to brighten complexion

My experience:

πŸ”˜ I was honored to have received two (2) highlighters in the PR package from @pixibeauty. I knew immediately that the one I already featured in a giveaway would be too dark, but looking at swatches online, I had high hopes for this shade.

πŸ‘πŸ» As you can tell by the swatches, it’s an absolutely stunning shade with a slight shift giving it, as they claimed, a multi-dimensional appearance.

πŸ‘πŸ» It has a little glitter in it, but nothing even close to unbearable for those who don’t love glitter highlighters.

πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ» I applied it to my cheekbones, cupid’s bow, inner corners and brow bones. Unfortunately, at my palest (which is now), this shade is also too dark for me.

πŸ‘πŸ» I have had it on for almost seven (7) hours and it still looks just as beautiful as it did when I first applied.

My verdict?

I really enjoyed the formula of the Glow-y Powder, this shade just isn’t meant for me. It’s just pigmented enough and gives a fabulous glow and does so all day long. I can definitely see myself trying a lighter shade in the future.

What is your go-to highlighter? I have so many, but it’s one of my favorite makeup items, so I’m always interested in hearing what everyone else is loving!

FYI, I receive a small commission when you shop via the links listed above. There is no additional cost to you.
