While I truly believe that getting to travel for work is a privilege, it sure can get exhausting. Late nights networking plus early morning meetings equals very little sleep. Thankfully, I have dry shampoo to assist with the hair styling process. Now I am just waiting for a makeup version so I only have to apply a full face once while I’m on the road! Today, I tested out the @onestahaircare Refresh Dry Shampoo ($24.99 for 7 ounces on @amazon – https://amzn.to/2QdOdBp).
What it claims:
🔘 Natural tapioca and rice starch absorbs excess oil and creates texture
🔘 Organic blend of botanical extracts protects against UV damage
🔘 Natural fragrance from Lemongrass & Coconut
🔘 Infused with Aloe botanicals, Milk Thistle and Rhatany Root to protect hair and leave it feeling clean
🔘 Contains no Talc or Aluminum Starch, and absorbs oil leaving no white residue
🔘 It has no parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrance, preservatives, dyes or gluten
🔘 I used it on both my niece and myself today, so that I could see how it would work on different hair textures and quantity of hair oils.
👎🏻 I applied it all over my niece’s hair and noticed only a slight difference. I used more than I normally do on myself and was disappointed in the lack of noticeable change it made.
👍🏻 I applied it all over my hair and noticed more of a change. Keep in mind that I am on day four (4) hair, but have used dry shampoo each day to de-grease my scalp.
👎🏻 I strongly dislike the scent. It’s not a bad scent, there is just something about it that I don’t find one bit pleasant.
👍🏻 There is no white cast, so I didn’t have to spend a lot of time working it into my hair after letting it soak in.
👍🏻👎🏻 It’s less expensive than my current favorite, but more expensive than my current second favorite.
While I wouldn’t say this is the worst dry shampoo I’ve ever tried by a long shot, it definitely isn’t the best. That, paired with the fact that I do not like how it smells, means I will not be repurchasing.
Speaking of traveling, do you have any upcoming trips planned?
