Worth the Hype Wednesday – @oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

September 4, 2019

If you saw my @nordstrom Anniversary Sale wish list, you would have seen the @oribe Full Size Styling Set was on it. It sold out quickly, so I was super excited to have been able to pick it up! In it came their Gold Lust Dry Shampoo (I already did a review on this on August 7th) and their super hyped up Dry Texturizing Spray ($46 for 8.5 ounces at @nordstrom – https://shopstyle.it/l/7lpl) – which is what I am testing out today!

What it claims:
๐Ÿ”˜ A revolutionary invisible dry spray that builds incredible volume and adds texture to any hairstyle
๐Ÿ”˜ Suitable for all hair types, including color- and keratin-treated hair
๐Ÿ”˜ A brilliant alternative to dry shampoo, this body-building spray uses patented polymers to absorb oil at the roots, leaving you with just-styled hair for days (and nights)
๐Ÿ”˜ This versatile styling spray can also be used on clean hair to add lift at the roots, while adding texture and volume, too, without any powdery white residue
๐Ÿ”˜ It protects color with a multilayered UV protection system and leaves hair looking, feeling and smelling beautiful with Oribe’s signature scent

My experience:
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I enjoy the scent.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป The packaging is gorgeous.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป It does give me the volume I desire and doesn’t make it difficult to run my fingers through.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป It can easily be reactivated throughout the day if it deflates slightly.
๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป I had to use it in conjunction with dry shampoo because it didn’t work as one – as the claims stated it could.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป It doesn’t leave a residue.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป It doesn’t continue to smell exactly like the product did initially, but I do notice my hair smelled refreshed all day long.

My verdict?
While I really do enjoy this, I am not sure I can ever see myself paying full price for a refreshing, volumizing product because I can achieve a similar outcome with other products. I have heard that it may not work the best for me because I have long hair, so if you have shorter hair and still want to try this out, it sounds like you may be more of the target market.

If you have tried any, what are your thoughts on @oribe products?
