Thursday Thoughts – @thisworks In Transit Camera Close-Up

June 20, 2019

Even though I have found that most primers donโ€™t make much of a difference on my skin, I was so intrigued by the description of the @thisworks In Transit Camera Close-Up ($55 for 1.35 ounces at @ultabeauty) that I purchased it to test out anyway.
What it claims:
๐Ÿ”˜ A mask, moisturizer and primer in one, for enhanced skin, up close
๐Ÿ”˜ A portable pick-me-up, that plumps and brightens skin in a flash so you are photo-ready at anytime
๐Ÿ”˜ Formulated using a superblend featuring bio boost – this works unique blend of anti-oxidant plant oils to rebuild and protect the skin barrier, along with hydrating hyaluronic acid and caffeine to rebalance and revitalize
๐Ÿ”˜ A handbag essential that reduces redness, smoothes the appearance of wrinkles and leaves skin naturally radiant, it can be used daily or as a top-up whenever needed
My experience:
๐Ÿ”˜ In photo 1, Iโ€™m wearing this product as moisturizer and primer on only the right side of my face. I didnโ€™t use moisturizer or primer on the left side of my face.
๐Ÿ”˜ I am wearing my favorite @catrice.us foundation on top because I wanted to see if it could improve on near perfection.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Itโ€™s moisturizing.
๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป The photo was taken almost ten (10) hours after initial application of all my face makeup. As you can tell, both sides look great. Which is fantastic for the left side (without any base), but doesnโ€™t say much for the pricey primer side.
My verdict?
There are several benefits they claim that I would only be able to determine were possibly true after months of use, but for the immediate claims, I would say I didnโ€™t notice enough of a โ€œphoto perfectโ€ look to say it is worth the high price tag. I will use it up, but wonโ€™t be repurchasing.
If you use one, whatโ€™s your go-to primer?
