A good makeup day can quickly turn into a great one after applying the right highlighter. So, ever since @jeffreestar and @jeffreestarcosmetics released their Supreme Frost highlighter formula, I have had it on my wish list. Then, when a 30% off sale was announced, I knew it was time and grabbed the shade Wet Dream ($32 for .282 ounces on his website)!
What it claims:
๐Ÿ”˜ This shade is described as a blinding medium gold with a reflective finish
๐Ÿ”˜ A baked-gel hybrid that has a more intense metallic finish than our original Skin Frost
๐Ÿ”˜ Extreme payoff currently available in five (5) stunning shades
๐Ÿ”˜ This product is vegan, cruelty-free, talc free, paraben & gluten-free
My experience:
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I had watched reviews in order to determine what shade would work best for me, so I knew ahead of time that the formula is almost pure glitter – and I was absolutely fine with that! As you can see in several of the photos, it’s stunning.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป The shade works well for my skin tone.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป It lasts all day.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป In photos 4 and 5, the first swatch is just @jeffreestarcosmeticsโ€™ Skin Frost in Ice Cold. The second swatch is Ice Cold with Wet Dream layered on top. The third swatch is Wet Dream only. While the swatch with the most impact is that of Wet Dream only, my preferred way is using the Supreme Frost as a topper over a traditional highlighter. It’s more wearable for me on a day-to-day basis. To punch up the impact, I would just add more Wet Dream on top before going out after work.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป It works well as a body highlighter, too. Just use a large brush to apply it to your shoulders and collar bone for a very attention-grabbing look.
My verdict?
I can see how this formula wouldn’t be for everyone, but it definitely is for me! Packing a big punch, this glitter-filled, baked-gel highlighter quickly became something I knew I would always want in my collection!
Have you tried either or both of @jeffreestarcosmeticsโ€™ Skin Frost or Supreme Frost highlighters? If so, which shade(s) do you own and what was your verdict?
