Try Out Tuesday – @evahairnyc Surf’s Up! Texture Spray

Years ago, before this blogging adventure of mine began, I would collect samples and free gifts, but would rarely use them. However, now that I am constantly on the hunt for items to review, I still collect those things, but now I actually put them to good use! Today, I am testing out a deluxe sample size (1 ounce) of the @evahairnyc Surf’s Up! Texture Spray ($12 for 5.3 ounces at @kohls – https://shopstyle.it/l/5gIq).

What it claims:

🔘 A weightless spray that creates beachy waves, adds instant volume and builds lasting texture

🔘 Zeolite delivers buildable texture in a dry, matte finish, while Vitamin C & fatty acids enhance shine, nourish and repair

🔘 Hair is left perfectly undone, textured and voluminous

My experience:

🔘 I parted my hair on each side and in the back and lightly sprayed it onto my roots, along with a couple of spritzes all over.

👍🏻 It has a pleasant, but light, scent.

🔘 Photo two (2) is after, photo one (1) is before

👍🏻 I completely agree with the weightless claim. I can feel a grip to my hair, but it isn’t at all crunchy, heavy or sticky.

👍🏻 The price is pretty great.

👍🏻 As you can tell from photo two (2), this absolutely added volume and texture.

My verdict?

This may be the best affordable texturizer I’ve ever used! If you have been on the hunt for something to add texture and volume to your hair without a residue and that is very reasonably priced, you’ll definitely want to give this a try!

If you love voluminous hair, what is your favorite product to achieve that look?
