Setting Spray Saturday – @catrice.us Prime and Fine Dewy Glow Fixing Spray

If you had told me, while in the depths of the summer heat last year, that my once overly oily skin would be able to accept and fall in love with a dewy setting spray, I would have called you crazy! But, here I am, featuring the @catrice.us Prime and Fine Dewy Glow Fixing Spray ($7.99 for 1.69 ounces at @ultabeauty – but currently on sale for only $4.79!) in a favorites post!

What it claims:
πŸ”˜ Improves makeup wear
πŸ”˜ Instantly refreshes skin and creates an illuminated look
πŸ”˜ Perfect for quick on-the-go touch-ups

My experience:
πŸ‘πŸ» After hearing @thataylaa non-stop rave about this product, I finally took the plunge. Part of my willingness to do so was because of the price, which is very good.
πŸ‘ŽπŸ» However, while the price is nice, the amount of product you receive isn’t, so I would suggest stocking up when it’s on sale because it runs out fairly quickly.
πŸ‘πŸ» This spray is the perfect balance of hydration and glow. Your skin will look more plump and your powder less powdery with just a few spritzes.
πŸ‘πŸ» The mist is very nice. Light, but still distributes enough product to only need 2-3 sprays to cover your entire face.
πŸ”˜ I suggest you spray it on your entire face, but only before mascara. On occasion, it has made my mascara smudge a little under my eyes.
πŸ‘πŸ» It has a scent, but, to me, it isn’t overpowering or unpleasant.
πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ» It doesn’t leave droplets of product on your face until the bottle is almost empty. However, you can easy make them disappear with a couple of taps from your dampened beauty sponge.
πŸ‘πŸ» It maintains a subtle glow throughout the day, without making me look greasy.

My verdict?
Considering I am now on my third bottle of this product, I would say my verdict is that it’s great! Never oily, always glowy and, above all, affordable – how can you go wrong?

If you use a setting spray, which do you prefer – mattifying or illuminating?
